Honey Pollen Toast

I have finally come around to sharing with you, my very dear readers, my ultimate secret for the very BEST energy food… Honey Pollen Toast.

This toast evolved out of a health practice that I have been doing for the past couple years of blending honey and pollen to create the ultimate healing food. When you blend honey and pollen together, a synergy is created that serves as an excellent liver tonic and hormone balancer.

Being a woman who has dealt with terrible cramps and irregular periods, this honey and pollen blend has literally saved my life. It has quickly became one of my go-to recommendations for my clients, and I have continually seen amazing results. So low and behold, the honey and pollen blend has extended into many of my favorite recipes including smoothies, desserts and now the famous Power Pollen Toast.

And for all of you men out there– this recipe has spread like wildfire amongst the men in my life. It has all the essential fats, proteins, carbs and nutrients for the hormone boost and energy needed to keep you guys running!

Honey Pollen Toast Ingredients:

Organic Sprouted Bread

Raw Pure Honey

Bee Pollen

Raw Coconut Butter or Oil

Toast the bread lightly and smear on coconut butter or coconut oil. If the coconut butter or oil is hard, you can heat it up in hot water or place in a toaster oven.

Once the butter has been spread, add a layer of honey and sprinkle on bee pollen.

Eat slowly, enjoying every last bite!

Don’t forget to pick up every last pollen crumb 🙂

What makes this Toast so Powerful?

The synergy of the Power Pollen Toast ingredients contain every nutrient your body needs to function at its highest level. Each one alone is universally recognized as a superfood, so the very combination leads to an undeniable power that makes it truly a therapeutic food.

The Honey Pollen Toast is ideal as a morning breakfast, pre or post workout food, or even to satisfy a sweet tooth. The most innovative use is as a kids meal. Children absolutely love this combination, and it actually has everything they need to be super strong and heathy. Not to mention, they get a kick out of using bee pollen as “sprinkles,” and let’s be honest, anything healthy we get our kids to eat deserves the term “Powerful!”

Powerful Pollen 🙂

What is so Important about the Ingredients?

Bee pollen may be the most nutrient dense food in the world, allowing it to boost the immune system, promote detoxification while improving energy. Not to mention, it also contains amino acids which is ideal for lean muscle growth, especially if you are working out.

Raw Honey is known as the elixir of immortality, for it has been therapeutically used for over 10,000 years. Much different than the typical heated honey sold in most stores today, it does not contain any corn syrup and has many more benefits than just serving as a sweetener. Honey is a natural anti-bacterial, anti-septic and anti-inflammatory, and acts as a powerful anti-histamine.

Coconut Oil has now proven in many studies to be one of the best sources of fat known today, because it serves as an anti-microbial and anti-fungal. Coconut oil has also shown to improve thyroid function, skin problems, aid in parasite elimination, while also supporting healthy weight loss. Coconut oil also helps give the body a radiant glow by keeping the body clear of pathogenic material and providing the raw materials for healthy hormone production.

Organic Sprouted Bread is made from freshly sprouted grains which contain all of the fiber, bran, vitamins and minerals of the original grain plus an average of approximately 100% increase in those vitamins and minerals. By sprouting the bread, its natural enzymes remain in tact, making it a highly digestible carbohydrate, even for those with possible gluten-intolerance. This source of grain is an excellent way to get the healthy carbohydrates you need, especially for mental clarity, fast- burning fuel and energy for athletic performance.

I eat local, organic bee pollen several times a week, but I’ve never though to combine it with honey and coconut oil! This is a must-try, thanks so much.

This is certainly my favorite way to start my day… Honey/pollen toast, hot tea (white or black organic loose leaf) and a 1 cap of NADH under my tongue after eating and drinking. I feel awake, energized, and with the NADH, my head is lit up and focused… great for being mentally “on” and productive at work. This combination is also great before a workout for increased stamina… works every time 🙂
