It is a uncharacteristically cold day here in Austin, and all I can think about is having a warm cup of hot chocolate! Not the bad for you kind, full of refined sugars and bad fats, but the healthy kind that makes you feel amazing inside and out! Lucky for me, a good friend of mine is a master cacao creator and shared with my one of her magic creations from her new venture, ChocoSutra, lavender hot chocolate.
ChocoSutra is Austin’s newest chocolate elixir trailer that specializes in health promoting chocolates. From beverages to edibles, these guys are all about guilt-free chocolate consumption. Their main passion is to share heart-warming and heart-opening hot chocolate, and let me tell you, they are damn good at it!
One of their amazing chocolate elixirs, and my personal favorite, is the lavender hot chocolate. Loaded in immune boosting agents, antioxidants, enzymes, good fats, and alkalizing salt, this elixir is formulated to nurture you with every sip 🙂
Lavender Hot Chocolate
Made with a gynostemma tea base, brew about 10 oz of tea, let steep for about 5 minutes and pour it into a blender.
1 tsp organic colostrum powder
1 tsp chaga mushroom (liquid or powder)
1 tbsp raw honey
1 tbsp raw extra-virgin coconut oil
1 tbsp raw cacao
3 drops of lavender essential oil
A pinch of unheated pink salt
Blend for a few seconds allowing a frothy texture to form. Pour into your cup and enjoy!
This is a perfect drink for those cold winter days, or even hot summer months when you’re craving something satisfying, soothing, and sweet. You’re sure to feel its nurturing properties by experiencing a tranquil state of mind and even a humble boost of energy as you drink and inhale this beautiful drinking chocolate.
