This book is the culmination of years of research, experience and practice in the holistic health field, and is intended to be the first step in revitalizing your health. The reason I wrote this book is because I believe that the kidney is at the root of so many health issues, and can dramatically change ones life, regardless of the condition. In my own personal experience, cleansing and strengthening the kidney brought energy back to my life, and was an impetus in transforming my physical appearance (thickening of hair as well as hair re-growth, stronger nails, brighter skin), and bringing my hormones back into balance. Through all my work in eastern medicine, specifically Chinese medicine, the kidney proved to be at the foundation of health, and most oftentimes the missing link in our path to wellness. Therefore in my quest to help people live the healthiest life possible, I knew I had to start with the kidney.

Let’s Get Kidney Cleansing!

The Miracle Kidney Cleanse book is here to not only be seen as a guide for those who are dealing with acute kidney disorders, but rather a first stop in your journey towards outrageous health and vitality. In a world where chronic disease, nagging symptoms and less than optimal body functioning is pervasive, I dare to suggest that the kidneys and their lack of attention is a grossly under recognized culprit. Therefore, the purpose of this book is to bridge that gap and create a foundation from which any person can build a blueprint for long lasting health. Because this body was not engineered to just get by, but rather to excel and perform at levels far beyond what we are functioning at today.

The great part about committing to this program is that it will not only target the root of your health issues and symptoms, but it is going to help you make drastic changes in the way you feel and live. This cleanse has not been developed to merely get rid of your symptoms temporarily, but to actually foster a real change at your core. It will provide you with all the tools that you need to get you out of that viscous cycle of quick fixes and chronic ailments and into a space where you are building a platform for radiant health, because we all need a good kick in the butt to get us motivated and out of our comfort zone and into a proactive posture.

KidneyKey

If you are not convinced yet that you need to start my kidney cleanse, here is a list of common signs of kidney deficiency, or a toxic kidney. If you have any of the signs mentioned below, then starting my 30-day kidney cleanse is going to be right for you. In addition, if you happen to be performing any juice cleanse, liver/gallbladder cleanse, intestinal cleanse, candida cleanse or even heavy metal cleanse, then performing my kidney cleanse is going to be especially important as well. I would suggest doing the kidney cleanse prior to any of the cleanses mentioned to not only improve the efficacy of your cleanses, but to protect the kidney from any damage done by the cleanses themselves (for example, a heavy metal cleanse can be very damaging to the kidney). Finally, another way in which to utilize my kidney cleanse, is in preparation for pregnancy. By strengthening the kidneys, you not only can increase your fertility, but you will also cleanse the body of unwanted toxins that may be harmful to your child.

Hi… before ordering the book: does the “miracle cure” introduce fermented foods, menus, etc? I won’t use pills and supplement, so if they are a big part of the program then I won’t get the book if they are critical to the + outcome! I’m just starting kefir and high probiotic foods. Do you think it will be enough without supplements?

Hi Vicki, the book is based on healing foods, teas and juices. Supplements are optional, although I personally think they are extremely vital to the cleansing process. Regardless if you utilize the supplements, you will be able to cleanse the kidneys with the other guidelines and program offered in the book. So yes, it will be enough 🙂

Hi Lauren, As a research scientist with a primary focus in nephrology, I am intrigued by this book. Anecdotally, have you seen improvement or stabilization in GFR or creatinine measures in CKD/ESRD patients who have used your method? Has it been used by any peritoneal or hemodialysis patients and has it affected technique survival? How did you determine return of renal function? How did you determine that these results (energy, hair, skin etc) are actually improved kidney function and not just a result of a better diet? Did these changes also occur for CKD patients? I am also a bit confused about the hormonal improvement you experienced as well as the possibility of improved fertility, what is the biological pathway for this change? I’d love to see the research behind this.
Sorry for all the questions, I am always on the lookout for natural ways to help patients. Thank you!

Hi Jane! Thank you for writing in. It is wonderful to see an interest from the medical field, because that is really where the basis of this book has been developed from. You can find the majority of my research here. As for results, there are improvements in creatinine and GFR. The changes in other factors such as energy, hair, nails etc. were significant. In regards to your question on whether it was directly to kidney function or diet, these are intimately connected. I really flush out these concepts in the book, where from a holistic perspective, diet and kidney function are not separate, nor is the overall functioning of the body and the kidneys. One cannot be addressed without the other. Finally, the aspects of fertility are derived from Chinese Medicine and the kidneys role in energetic pathways including the jing, chi, ying and yang. I would suggest purchasing the book and reading through these concepts to get a better idea of how the kidney plays a role in these aspects. Once you read through the book, feel free to email me directly at lauren@theholykale.com.

I love your site and I’m looking to buy your book. I currently do take a birth control(I have read your article on this though ;)) and I was wondering if the cleanse is ok to do while on it. I wasn’t sure if it would alter the effectiveness of the bc..?! Thank you!

Hi Kate – the good news is that you can do the cleanse while on birth control. It will not affect it. Thanks for checking in! I look forward to hearing how it goes.

[…] Things are a’changing around here, and not just in my virtual world.  While I do a pretty good job of eating and living healthily, I also have quite a large sweet tooth, and its nagging calls for chocolate tend to drown out my gut’s cries for all things green.  I need to clean up my eating act and take advantage of the fabulous food growing all around me on the farm.  So my New Year’s Resolution this year was to plan an extensive spring cleaning inside, outside, and cyberside.  This included a week-long fruit & veggie juice cleanse, as well as a lot of reading, including Lauren Felt’s The Miracle Kidney Cleanse. Hi Lauren! I’ve read your Kidney Cleanse book and I’m preparing to start the cleanse this weekend! Unfortunately, I do not have a juicer. I have a Vitamix blender, so would you say that a 3 day “smoothie feast” instead of juicing would be better than just jumping into the cleanse meal plan? Thanks!

    Hello Lauren,
I’m a stage 5 CKD patient and I am considering buying your book, would you recommend your kidney cleanse to me? I understand I will have to consult my renal doctor about it as well. But it would be pointless if the book is more of a preventative measure and unsuitable for existing kidney patients.

    Thanks in advance

Hello Nabila, absolutely not – the book has tons of useful information for not only preventing kidney disorders, but how to address the kidney when one is already dealing with complications. The cleanse has modifications based on ones medical history, which will be a great section for you to consult with your doctor with. It also has many therapies and diet modifications that can help make a difference in even those with acute and chronic conditions. Definitely worth reading.

Hello, In cases like yours I always have the patient work directly with their doctor. There has been the most success when the patient brings in the book (Miracle Kidney Cleanse) and discusses with their doctor how they would like to integrate natural healing and cleansing techniques. Together the doctor can monitor your progress and health, and make sure that you are utilizing the tools from the book that are best in line with your current state of health. The good news is that there are many techniques for naturally addressing the kidney, so if some are not right for your body at the time, others can be used instead. But it is all in the book 🙂

    Hi Lauren,

How are you. You use to have the kidney cleanse tea available to order on your site along with the supplements. Is that information in your book so a person can order it? I ordered your book and would like to know if you give the guidance on which supplements to order as well as teh cleanse tea formula.
    Thank you,

Good Morning Dave, the kidney cleanse that is posted on my blog is a different cleanse than what is offered in the book. The book offers a far more complete cleanse that integrates many other lifestyle modifications, alternative therapies and treatments. For specific questions about the book, feel free to email me at lauren@theholykale.com

Hi Lauren! So after reading your article I identify myself with many of the symptoms. Mostly fatigue, under eye bags, low energy, foggy head, thin hair, anxiety, and ADHD. I am 24 years old maintain a healthy diet and do not find these symptoms normal. I don’t think I drink enough water so thats a start. I have been on birth control for around 8 years and believe that may be the culprit so I am I have decided to take break from that to see if that changes things. Do you think I should resort to a kidney cleanser? Or give getting off birth control a try first? Should I try other things before getting off birth control or do it all at the same time? Just trying to find the cause of my exhaustion. Thanks so much!!

Hi Jules, I think the best place to start is to get off BC. Follow my steps for Coming Off Birth Control in my article, using the supplements and following the diet. After 2 months or so, check back in and see how you are doing. I would then start the kidney cleanse. At that point, feel free to email me directly at lauren@theholykale.com so I can help you determine which supplements to transition off of and which ones to keep. Hope that helps and best of luck!!! This is an exciting time 🙂

Thank you for such a great website!
Question: in your liver flush article it says to do the detoxes in this order: intestines, kidneys, liver. In the article on this page you say that kidney detox has to be done first. Please clarify. Thank you.

Reply Lauren The Holy Kale April 7, 2016 at 3:00 pm

Hi Barb, if you are dealing with digestive constipation then start with the intestinal cleanse. It is important to make sure that the toxins released during cleansing can be properly cleared from the body. If you are regular (1-3 bowel movements a day), then start with the kidney cleanse.

      • Reply Barb April 7, 2016 at 8:13 pm

        Thank you!
I am regular. That being the case I will do kidneys first. Afterwards can I go right into liver detox or is it better to do intestines first (even thought I am regular).

    Dear Ms. Felts,
Last week I sent you this email. But, perhaps leaving a reply here will be faster.
Today, I tried to buy your three products to start your Kidney Cleanse.
The following are in my shopping carts: Kideny Tea and RenaVen.
But Amazon and http://www.prlabs.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=53 are out of stock.
I don’t want to order anything until I can get all 3 products, to start taking at the same time. Do you know when Protease will be available anywhere?
    Thank You,

Hi Tom, if you cannot get protease, then try the product Wobenzym. It is a different set of enzymes, but can utilized for the same purpose of supporting blood cleansing. Follow capsule recommendations on the bottle. As always, check with your MD before starting. Best of luck!

Hi Maricel, absolutely. You can find the book HERE (click the link). Each and every body is different, so I would read the book and then consult with your MD about the best course of action for you specifically. It is very important to have your MD on board with all diet and supplement plans. Best of luck and I look forward to hearing how things progress!
